Yes we are heartbroken, but it would have been harder to let her linger, she was so clearly ready to go. She was 2 months short of 13.
I'm just going through all our old photos and videos at the moment, to put together a montage of the time we were so lucky to have with her. She was Rick's dog before I met him, but the kids and I loved her from the moment we met her back in 2002. She was born in our house so we buried her in the garden and I will be planting a shrub over her grave.
Just a minor point, Rebel was a girl dog!
