They seem to be getting busy in Dover, seen three live ones on different parts of the river bank over the last month and just seen a dead one in the alleyway between North St and Underdown Rd.

#3 call that a rat that's a mere mouse compared to the ones that inhabit western hieghts moats.

It's true there's no sense of scale in the pic, BD, but it's very definitely a rat although, as I acknowledged, only a 'little one.' I'll be visiting those moats in the near future, and I'll hope to meet a monster up there.
