    Yes you're right, Howard, all three mainstream political parties were in favour of careering headlong into Afghanistan: they should all be ashamed.
    Their do-gooder policies haven't even managed to achieve women's rights in Afghanistan.
    They may all be ashamed to look people in the eyes when British soldiers withdraw from there.

    Practically, they've sent British soldiers to support an Afghan government that after all these years has not approved a basic law on women's rights.
    So women in Afghanistan can be bought and sold, beaten, stoned....
