The post you are reporting:
Britain has always been a melting pot.
We have been invaded by Romans, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Danish Vikings, Norwegian Vikings, Normans all of whom stayed here in numbers along with their own melting pot of mercenaries, slaves and attendants, in later years we have invited in Huguenot French, European Jews, West Indians, Ugandan Asians, and allowed Commonwealth/Old Empire citizens to take up residence. Additionally, we have always turned a blind eye to the settlement of Chinese peoples in this country.
Alongside this we have an enviable tradition of providing safe haven for people who are seeking asylum as they fear for their safety in their home country.
Search back through the newspapers and records and you will find that there has often been an outcry against the incomers with all manner of accusations, crimes and outrages laid at their door, yet as generations passed they became part of our richly diverse community and this singling out en-mass ceased.
As for whole areas of cities being inhabited by one particular ethnic group, this has always been the case with first, second and sometimes even third generation immigrant communities - look at the history of the Brick Lane area in East London for a really good example of this. As these groups start to integrate into our society and culture and as they generationally rise up the income scales, they move out from the original ghettos merging into society as a whole.
I do not condone violence against women in any size shape or form, those who commit such crimes deserve to feel the full force of the law including repatriation to their own country if they are not holders of a British passport; however we should also note that the vast majority of rape cases are committed by someone very well known to the victim, it is estimated more than half of rapes do not go reported and that somewhere over 80% of violence against women is committed by their partners.
