Raising money for Cancer

  I had the pleasure of attending a fundraiser event yesterday at The Chance Inn in Guston. The Mayor of Dover, Anne Smith and her husband Mick invited me along as their daughter Annette had arranged it all with the help of her many supportive friends and family. Annette is currently undergoing treatment for cancer herself and she did a splendid job raising over £300 for this very worthy cause. There were cakes aplenty and great prizes to be won in the raffle. It was a very upbeat event with smiles all round, so a huge well done to Annette.

  Good item there Colette and I hope it all goes well for Annette. Raising £300 from a simple single event is terrific going. Nice picture of the amiable threesome. I havent met Annette but obviously Anne and Mick are very familiar faces indeed.

  Yes Annette has been though alot but still manages to stay really bubblely and cheerful, I attended her wedding earlier this year, she has a busy life as well as a busy family life so well done to all in raising a brillant amount for cancer.

  Yes, indeed, Annette is an amazing young woman, she has four children ranging from one to sixteen, she certainly is an inspiration to all who know and love her. Good luck Annette, keep smiling that gorgeous smile of yours

  Yes im on an annual subscription to pilgrims hospice which does a lot of good work for such people in very trying times
