Sorry if I have missed a thread or comment about this, but does anyone know why the police were at the Priory railway station yesterday, and the trains were held up for a while?

John Goodwin was late for work !!
No idea Bern, but there are problems on a fairly regular basis, which must be wiped out - through, once again, ZERO tolerance.

slightly off topic but it seems to be every other weekend that rail replacement buses run.
my understanding is that the full train fare is still charged even though buses are substituted over part of the journey.

Plus, Howard. I read that the train companies get extra money from network rail for the 'inconvenience' of using buses. To the extent that they appear to favour the use of buses whenever they can get away with it.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

didn't know that tom, they say now that rail travel is exclusively for the well off.
not so well off after they have paid their fares though.
i think it was gary who posted about contractors for network rail creaming off good money.
