Yesterday my Husband and young son having checked the website for train times, walked to Kearsney Station from Whitfield to catch the train to Canterbury.
After waiting at the station for half hour they realised the train probably wasnt coming, looking around there were no notices up or visible telephone numbers to ring.
It was extremely cold and faced with the long walk back up Whitfield Hill, he phoned my uncle a retired British Rail manager, who phoned someone else to find the trains had all been cancelled but a bus service was running
Eventually they did manage to get a bus but surely there could have been a communication on the website, or a notice up at the station to avoid them waiting around for hours in the freezing cold !!
