It was nice on Sunday morning to wake up and find that radio controlled clocks had all adjusted themselves to what is laughingly called British Summer Time. However, it's possible that they won't be accurate for a couple of weeks. Also, if you've just bought one you may find that it won't start.
The reason is that the transmitter is off air for maintenance until April 6th. It may be back overnight or at weekends if possible.

Yes these clocks really come into their own when the time gets fiddled with our out of easy reach clock in the kitchen changes all on its own.
I like your new signature Terry.

The idea of Radio Controlled Clocks is a step too far. Let us retain AM/PM rather than AM/FM.

Having worked at the shop for three shifts (sometimes more) a week for eight years I have packed it in and am enjoying retirement at long last. I would have been working today instead I will soon be reading my book and taking coffee in the sun.
I have missed the many customers who I became friends with while I was there, also your smiling waves so early during the morning shift.

Well done Jan, I know exactly what you mean. I did the first Film Festival with Ray Warner in 1972 and after 40 years this year's was my last. As I announced a couple of weeks ago I am now retiring and will grow old disgracefully.

I'm 3 years into retirement and enjoying getting more disgraceful by the day
Talking of radio controlled clocks as we should be, I've got a digital weather station that has it's time controlled from Stuttgart, just wondering what info it might be sending back.

But only on Long Wave Phil, everything else is late! FM slightly, digital could be a couple of seconds.

When I worked for the Civil Service we had several of them in one of our offices, the damn things always told the wrong time - some more than others!

My kitchen clock hasn't worked for years, yet it tells the correct time, with absolute accuracy, twice each and every day, day-in-day-out.
If only I had a few thousand more like it I need never worry again.

Bluebottle had the time written down on a piece of paper. When asked what he would say if someone wanted to know the time and it wasn't what was on the paper he said "I don't tell them".
