Those are stunning Kath, I tried quilting once but found I just did not have the patience making all the little shapes, mine ended up as a cushion cover.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I do a lot of sewing patchwork on my machine, it can be quite quick !
I would never have the patience to do these intricate shapes, especially the round ones.
Our group at Tilmanstone - Tilmanstone Craft Group- does all sorts of crafts, patchwork, quilting, knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning, painting, drawing, rag rugs, etc.
and
starts again next Wednesday 4 September, and thereafter EVERY Wednesday in Tilmanstone Village Hall from 2 to 4pm, cost £1 each afternoon, at present, towards expenses. Bring your own work or learn another craft - helpers always welcomed.
Tea and coffee available.
If you know someone who might like to come, they will be most welcome.

Sewing, it appears, is very much what you make it...
How learning to sew transformed my fashion self-confidence
Just learning earning the basics of needlework can transform your relationship with the clothes you wear...
"...Which is why I'm a big advocate of learning the basics of sewing. Even if it's just how to hem a pair of trousers, or make a simple skirt.
This is a skirt I made, from a fabric I fell in love with. I didn't use a pattern, but the instructions are pretty straightforward: you can read about the process on my blog.
I love it because it's an original. There's nothing like it in the shops. And I love it because it's size Lilli. And that's an OK size to be."
