    I was up to 32 faces that I recognised as local by the end of proceedings, not all that I could put names to, but have seen them around. Dieter, praising the output of our Grammar schools, Nathaniel Richards and Jack Jones, in addition to those you mention above Peter, being those that I could put a name to.

    On the basis that the audience is drawn from a pool of 100k+ potential locals (Dover, Deal, Sandwich and the villages) and numbered a couple of hundred and I recognised approx. 10% of the audience as being local whilst I probably would only recognise less than 1% of the people in our area, I think it most likely that very few or no outsiders were in fact imported.
