Will be held at Dover Town Hall. Know of three local, people who have tickets and been invited to submit questions (myself included). But no guarantee will be selected. I have submitted a question about govt's plans for developers to build "affordable homes " which will not be affordable to,people in this area ( at same time as abandoning social housing)

Question time in Dover to night will probably be full of labour party members and screaming nutters calling for more immigrants to be allowed in ?
And then in the same breath complain about no housing and low pay

Apparently it went very well tonight, very lively and the recording will start in about 5 minutes.

It was lively but the audience was not what I expected. I was surprised at the large number of middle-class and middle-aged people. There were so few people I recognised that I wonder how many were local and how many were imported. Pam Brivio, Clair Hawkins, Cap'n Bob, Nurul Islam and missus, Magic Phil Tilston and that's about it. Oh and Becky from the Green Party.

I was up to 32 faces that I recognised as local by the end of proceedings, not all that I could put names to, but have seen them around. Dieter, praising the output of our Grammar schools, Nathaniel Richards and Jack Jones, in addition to those you mention above Peter, being those that I could put a name to.
On the basis that the audience is drawn from a pool of 100k+ potential locals (Dover, Deal, Sandwich and the villages) and numbered a couple of hundred and I recognised approx. 10% of the audience as being local whilst I probably would only recognise less than 1% of the people in our area, I think it most likely that very few or no outsiders were in fact imported.

The highlight for me was when I switched over to watch something else.

Quote 4 is very wide of the mark. Audience was made up clearly of people with different political opinions. On the application form you are asked what party you support/vote for. I felt that audience was well balanced age wise, lots of articulate young people. But the programme although taken place in Dover was clearly made up,of people from nearby towns, there were people from .folkestone, Canterbury and Folkestone. Our ward of tower hamlets had five of us ( unknown to one another till we got there. Not sure how they select the questions. Amber Rudd, minister for energy and climate change did not face one question about her govt's policies on cutting tariff's for solar power and know they were submitted.

Very true. Clair Hawkins and Bob Frost both present, for example. But more open-minded people than I expected.

Pam
we have uk people desperate for social housing and your party is still calling for more immigration, and this helped to lose labour the election, especially in Dover .

Highly entertaining view from Captain Bob, looks like Mr Garstin was sitting next to him on the evening.
