last nights programme has been mentioned by paulb on a seperate thread and barry's blog.
i actually watched it all the way through last night and felt the whole thing was past its sell by date.
firstly the audience is chosen from political parties and special interest groups that fit in with the panel, thus ensuring the correct amount of clapping and booing.
secondly the panel, first we had daniel hannan who could actually be played by nigel farage, the same glib entertaining style with enough hand movements to suggest that he was signing for the deaf. then we had liz kendall - shadow minister for something or other who made a few bland statements, next her was chris huhne who simply rattled on about how bad the reds are despite the fact he would have much more wanted to go into coalition with them 18 months ago, finally a very rich businessman that was brought in purely for the audience to gasp at how much he earned.
