Most people found the incident amusing at the time, others tried to make unpleasant political capital about it but I think Graham was pushing his luck in complaining of his privacy being invaded.

I would have thought they breached clause 1 on accuracy as he was not at the event and they said he attended in said garb.
I am very surprised he made a complaint though I thought he was smarter than that.

On clause 1 the organiser(one with an agenda) told the Express that he was there during the event and they took it as gospel.
On the issue of privacy he was in a public place when the photo was taken and no permission was needed I believe Mr Newsam is up on the legalities.

That's the Express for you not bothering to check, I think they should have the decency to apologise to him though, not that they have any.
Manna from heaven for the special one when he arrived like that though.

When you have made a bit of a fool of yourself it is not a good idea to remind the public of your gaffe.

Not only has the Express not apologised, they featured him as #1 in the Gaffes of 2015 article. Their conduct in this whole affair has been totally vindictive in my opinion. Pick on a town Councillor but never dare to criticise DHB.

Nowadays the Express are effectively press officers for DHB, they are very reliant on the advertising revenue and daren't say a word against them.
No "Frank, Fearless, Free" with them.
