    Forgive me if I missed someone else making this point but council budgets are worked out from May to April and therefore DDC should have budgeted for the toilets until April so why close them in January? The obvious answer would be that there were errors in the budgeting (or that DDC just wanted to play a political game with the closures) and that someone got the figures wrong.
    As has been made clear the Town Council has not made a decision yet and will only do so after truly public consultation, it is a pity that the closures were not handled in the same way.
