The post you are reporting:
Howard - I am actually very consistent. I have always pointed out the wrongs of big government high spending and high taxing policies whether in the UK or elsewhere.
Reg - you choose to ignore the actual case against the last government and Brown in particular. To trivialise it and to focus on just one of the many idiotic things Brown did shows how blind you are to the economic facts. I have many times listed a significant number of very specific economic miscalculations/mistakes down to him and Balls that led to the UK being in an appalling economic condition at the beginning of the downturn in 2007.
The fact that many European nations made many of the same fundamental errors does not excuse Brown for turning this country's economy into something more resembling Spain, Italy and Greece than Germany. Of course the Eurozone foolishness compounds the problems in Europe for the overspending weak economies and I have always give Brown the credit for keeping us out of the Euro - the only thing he did right.
Ignoring economic facts is all you Labour apologists have as an economic argument.
