The committee of the Clarendon and westbury community association arranged a public meeting for locals to meet and question the political parties
4 took up the challenge(UKIP didn't send anyone)
There were some passionate questions, and the panel i'm sure recognised that they are a long way from having the faith of local people.
Only by re engaging with local communities all the year round will give them a chance of people bothering to go out to vote.
I do thank the 4 political parties for taking up the challenge of what will be a longer term challenge that only they can address.

Firstly well done to Keith for organising the meeting, incidentally I don't think UKIP have a local branch anymore. Was there a good turn out of local people and what sort of questions were asked?

I am surprised you did not attend Howard as it was so near you.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

It was aimed at people that don't normally vote Jan, the idea being that the politicos explain their beliefs and give a reason to vote for their party.

I did e mail UKIP's head office but got no further reply.
I understand locally there re a few members, but no branch or organisation.
but all I can do is invite them.
but the4 other parties did come.
Questions raised were quite wide ranging.
The obvious one being trying to find out what deal(and whos deal) are we looking to support on Brexit.
National insurance contributions not being used for pensions/NHS
Immigration
Integration(or lack of)
