  Secondly - what on earth do you think the result would be if the government did not make spending cuts allowing the deficit to build and debt to get further out of hand? Look at Greece and Spain to see what happens. There are consequences to everything, the best consequences will only come from dealing with the causes of our problems, excessive government spending and debt.
