  in recent times we have had william roache, dave lee travis and now this chap charged with several offences and all are acquitted by unanimous jury decisions.
  
  it does beg the question that the saville effect has taken hold at the cps.

  Yet the CPS say there is not enough evidence to prosecute the thug who assaulted the Scope charity shop manager in spite of cctv footage. And said thug still struts around town.

  The only ones who win in cases like Howard has mentioned are the highly paid lawyers regardless of which side they represent.
  
  We only hear about those who are celebrities, it makes me wonder how many others have needless months of anxiety only to be found innocent by a unanimous jury after short deliberation.

  the photo of the chap that assaulted the charity shop manager had his photo in the express but does not get prosecuted, maybe martin and jan are correct in their observations.
