    Yes fossil fuels do produce the electricity but if the electricity is already being produced for mass use anyway..why not use it for cars. 100 miles for a pound and no emissions! Gotta be good. Living beside the main road here i know all about emissions. On hot summer days..not that we get many of those..you cant breath with the fumes. The trees planted next to the road a few years ago are all dead. What does that tell you..no natural life can exist next to the putrid emissions. The electric car would eliminate the rear end of the pollution process.

    We are still some way away from the electric solution..if the batteries could last for say 500 miles and the cost could still be £1 per 100 miles, people would grab it. We're not there yet...but one day..
