    One has to question why DHB needs a tidal survey from the pier. If they don't know the tidal movements in the harbour by now we all need to worry! More to the point, what are Dover Harbour board doing cutting into the metal work of the pier? I hope when they have finished that they put back the listed structure like for like. At this point as far as I know no permissions have been granted to undertake any non-restoration works to the POW pier.
