  Views and opinions should always be able to be backed up by the person offering the viewpoint, viz a viz...
  You say you think X, and I say I think Y, is a rather pointless and boring exchange. But, if you say you think X for this or that reason, then I say I think Y for this or that reason, and query/challenge some of the reason you provide for thinking X - then we can have a real discussion that is interesting.
  
  Only too often you will give an opinion with no reason or case stated, I will say I disagree for this reason or that and you get all hissy accusing me of stifling different opinions - the opposite being true. Far better for you to respond with a reason for your opinion and a challenge to my reasons.
  
  If you express a view then be prepared for someone who takes a different viewpoint to ask for it to be substantiated - that is what intelligent debating and discussion is all about.
  
  I have tried before to explain this to you and to draw out a more constructive debate but so far it seems to fall on deaf ears. Hope I have explained this better.
  
  The other problem I have is where some people, you included, misrepresent and wrongly re-interpret what is said whether by me or other people. That does make me justifiably annoyed.
