I agree Howard.
Barry, please email me with what is wrong in my posting as you don't wish to post it on here.
I was very restrained on my posting and I'm sure you know that.
The market was originally to have between 30 and 40 stalls; when Cameron took it over he made a complete balls of it and when he left the Chamber, no one there was really interested or knew what to do.
I have spoken to one of your fellow board-members (email me if you don't know who it is) about a new market manager with some good ideas about how it can become what it should have become 16/18 months or more ago.
I have spoken to the Channel Chamber about it (not recently admittedly) but they would like figures on potential income and would be happy to take it over if Dover District Council care to go down that route and/or Dover Chamber of Commerce can't be bothered to run it properly.
It could be a good earner and a great benefit to everyone involved - the Town as a whole, the established businesses here, the stall holders, the Council, the Chamber of Commerce and of course Dover residents and visitors.
There is so much to gain and so much to lose - it's your (the Chamber's) choice Barry.
Roger
