13:1293625Some of you on here may of heard that my dad was fighting for his life two weeks ago due to a severe strain of pneumonia ( not good with having emphsemia of the lungs!), he was rushed in to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford, ive heard horror stories of this hospital but i must say they were fabulous to my dad the doctors , nurses the hca assistants were the best even down to the cleaners and cups of tea makers i really cant thank them enough for helping my dad on a very speedy recovery to which he came home wednesday just gone . he not over it completly but we will get him there!

18:3793673My father was well looked after at WmHarveyHospital for a month, leading up to his death. Aged 93.
When he was unconscious for the last week or so, the nurses read things out loud to him to provide something to stimulate the brain.
They could not have been more considerate.

20:4393700That is nice to hear Melissa about time we heard of some good stories, glad your dad is on the mend I know when my Dad was in QEQM a few years back all the Nurses and Doctors could not have been more helpfull so its not all horror stories.

20:5893702So glad your Dad is doing ok Melissa. Having been through the same thing last November myself I know what a tough time he must have had, pleased he has been so well cared for. Tell him to take it easy as it's going to take him a good 6 - 8 weeks or more to feel like his old self again
