  Ill-educated and prejudiced parent power scares me! IfI needed a plumber I would not expect to be asked my opinion about the best methods of plumbing. I would expect to be consulted about options, about prices, but not about the actual plumbing!! I expect education experts, teachers et al, to do their job in a kind of partnership with me as a parent. Too much parent power is dangerous! Accountability is different, and necessary.
