Anyone know what's causing them tonight? Saw two large outages along seafront and western docks.this including A20 street lamps. A friend has no power in his flat. Russell street/A20 junction lights rapidly changing so prepare for queues if not fixed by rush hour. I hope no one is late for work as I expect their alarms are flashing 00:00 right now

Fortunately we didnt have any problem around here. Could it be rain getting into the wiring gubbins. We dont seem to get so much rain now so perhaps we have trouble coping when it pours and it did a bit of pouring didnt it.

We had in one in Balfour Road last night, just after 11.00. Don't know how long it lasted but it was back on when I got up this morning

Whatever caused it it's also playing havoc with my broadband speed this morning. Someone been nicking copper wiring somewhere perhaps?

Apparently it was due to a solar flare! My broadband still isn't up to spec though, so I suspect there's been a bit more damage to delicate electronic equipment in this area.
