Yes the potholes in Dover used to be atrocious when I first came and started riding my motorbike here, but I think things have improved since then. But jeez in those days ..honestly, the fillings would fall out of yer teeth trying to negotiate a ride around town. Rattle ,clatter, wallop...was the order of the day and it damages yer mechanical equipment. I am sure one could have a legal case against the Council as some of these motorbikes Ive had were expensive so-and-so's and were almost rattled to bits.
However I must say the new roads are looking fab down here. Fantastic to ride along and smooth as a billiard ball. The guys from the Highways Agency are doing a good job. Still loads of road closures last night too, but they are getting there...and the surface is majestic.
