Where have the members gone ?Hardly any stories or comments to read.I have noticed Dover has an influx of beggars .I have contacted DDC to see if they can be moved to a hostel.Perhaps this will spark a few comments .

We rarely have posts from local councillors anymore, Roger was a regular poster but it looks like he has either given up on us or driven away.

Like many before him, he got fed up with the keyboard warriors.

Can't blame him he was the only serving councillor who posted regularly while the rest kept their heads down and was attacked continually by a few.

Why the obsession with Councillors? Roger is missed as are the many more that were long term forumites.

I agree Martin, why the assumption that it is only councillors who are missing, I can think of several others who no longer bother to post and they are not councillors, while others have obviously cut down on the number of posts.
Over the Christmas period most other forums have been bereft of posts as people are busy with family or seasonal events or even work.

Losing any long term poster is a bad thing of course, the reason I highlighted councillors is that seemingly strange decisions are made at town and district level and the local press only cover meetings that look to be controversial. Roger was a member here well before he became a councillor and if he had remained as a member of the public the attacks would not have happened.
Let's not forget we have also lost Keith and Reg who as former long serving councillors gave us an insight into local authority workings, add to that Blue Barry hardly posts as he has lost his sparring partners.
