  It is an unfortunate fact that the Arab word, which was once at the forefront in both science and art, has been kept in a state of primitive ignorance by this backwards religion, and many adherents are still unable to exist in a world of modernity enjoying the freedoms and civilisation most of us take in 2017 for granted (and even worse won't allow us to enjoy them).
  
  One only has to look at the fact that since the Nobel Prizes were established in 1895 (which have been awarded to over 800 individuals) only 12 have been to Muslims, 23% of the world's population, and ironically 7 of them were for 'peace'. LOL as they say! (Interestingly Jews have won 22% of all prizes whilst being less than 0.2% of world population). This is from the people who invented algebra and astronomy for God's sake - scientific enquiry and progress brought to a full stop by the ramblings of a man in a desert.
  
  Their stupid laws on figurative art have kept art in the state where the best we can do is 'marvel' (sic) at their wonderful 'patterns', much as we do with primitive artwork brought home from school by our children, rather than the sweep of Western Art from Giotto to Hockney.
  
  All religions are equally stupid.
  
  Not all are equally damaging.
  
  I had no problem whilst Islam merely kept its followers in ignorance, it's what you expect religions to do.
  
  The carnage being caused by Salafi Jihadism is a different matter.
