  Shocker! If you let immigration run out of control, you will need to build loads of houses to accommodate them, resulting in the despoilation of the landscape. Who'd have thought it?
  
  Even "Red Ed" has admitted the Labour Party got it wrong.
  
  With that in mind, what do those who were shouting down the likes of myself, who pointed out the elephant in the room at the time, now have to say for themselves?

  There you have it, curses. Poor people are living longer. No wonder the Conservatives are up in arms.
  
  Funny how those charged with the task of totting-up such things do so badly when a mere journalist can discern the 'problem' in a trice...

  Strange also that it is the "migration data" alone where inaccuracies occur?

  i saw that report this morning, andrew is right to raise the issue of uncontrolled immigration.
  
  there was another report about a year ago with official figures that people coming in from pakistan and bangla desh produced over 3 times more offspring than the average.
  
  even chris and brian were taken aback.

  I think we have been talking about uncontrolled immigration, illegal asylum-seekers (I emphasise the word "illegal" there) and false refugees, since shortly after Jean and I moved here late 1994; I believe the serious problems in Dover were around 1998.
  
  Controlled immigration, where people will not be a burden on the State and therefore us as individuals; people who are trained or qualified in a trade or profession, people who can speak English, who come here to a job, are O.K. it's the people who don't have any of the above that's the problem and if it had been kept as first stated, we would not have the serious problem we now have - locally and Nationally.
