    Hi Jeane, just logged on to check out your birdie's progress - sorry to read he didn't make it. Am surprised after you mentioned he was eating, usually the shock of the new gets them, perhaps ours lived so long as we rescued her as a chick and she knew no other life.

    Must be hard to be free one min and then in a strange environment the next, but am sure you did the best for the poor bird.

    We tried several times to release ours, but the other established birds kept mobbing the poor thing as soon as she went out.

    Odd comment from Jimmy there, all life is valid in my opinion no matter what form it comes in.
