Does anyone know why there are 8 police vans blocking the road to the beach near the hotel??

Didnt see or hear anything myself Bern. The usual source of police activity on the seafront are the seafront shelters and those who congregate therein. Often some disturbance will result in several police cars/vans arriving at once. Maybe it was something along those lines, but otherwise all seems quiet.

usually the case when it is quiet such as a sunday evening, a call would go out about a minor incident so unless there is an incident somewhere else all available cars turn up.
