my understanding is that the totesport turf accountants was robbed, although there was an ambulance there, i don't think that anyone was injured.

After a recent shooting incident and following an armed raid on a bookies Dover Town Council(after an emergency all night fully expenses paid sitting in the Chamber) have decided to rename Dover as Dodge City. Sherrif Nigel Earp Collor said " I aim to clean up the streets of Dodge and free them from potholes and cobbles".
Vic Outlaw Matcham said that the town was in dire need of UKIP jurisdiction.

15:2389662That's right Howard.
I was down in Town about 1pm and there were about 4 police cars and the ambulance.
I was going to post it on here, but you beat me to it - DF's roving reporter, well done.
Someone in Town said there was a stabbing somewhere recently, then with the shooting the other day, it's not good for those concerned, or the Town.
Back to work.

15:3489664Maybe I am extra sensitive having discovered I have been living opposite a gunman, I do not find Marek's post in the least funny.

16:3389669Ah dont be too sensitive there Jan although I understand your concerns, but its just a bit of satire there from Marek but you can see the point...if it is indeed the case that a woman was stabbed today as Melinda says there, as well as the shooting, then it is all going rather lawless.
The police did reassure us in former times (about a year and a half ago at a Neighbourhood Forum Meeting at the Town Council offices) that compared to elsewhere Dover was a good place to live. Is that changing?
Well done Howard with the picture..man on the spot!

Looks like I Ricky Gervais-ed myself. Apologies no harm intended but just a bit of light hearted banter. Those that know me on the DF know that I would not wish any harm on anyone bar Vic but then he can take it

18:5389686Sorry all I had a hectic morning at the shop and came home tired and irritable.
Marek,
I know you meant no harm normally I would have laughed but this shooting so near to my home and then finding out a bit more bad information about the boy this morning has shaken all of us who live near him.
Paul,
no I do not think it is changing, it is because this area is so law abiding as a rule that the shooting hit us so much.

19:1189689it was a funny post, unless someone has been closely involved.
spot on there jan, dover is a very safe town, the police are right on this one.
i suspect that the bookies raid was effected by people who reside far from here, those raids usually are.

07:4189740They must have seen what went on though and saw the robber make his getaway; whether they would, or more like it, could, give a description is another matter.
