Standing at Curium in Cyprus today, a chap asked Karen if she had been born in Dover. It seems they had been neighbours in Westbury Road 45 years ago and then lost touch only to meet on holiday.Where does he live now? Stanhope Road and never met in Dover.

I am tempted to posit that he does not recognise her with her clothes on, but I shall refrain.

It never ceases to amaze me about the coincidences in our lives.
Many years ago a family member on holiday in Mexico was exploring the country by bus and got chatting to an American who was sat next to him, it turned out the American had lived in his home town fairly near him for a couple of years.

Tom, Karen was 14 when he last saw her so l consider your posting to be in poor taste and ill judged as are the majority of your postings.never mind as an adversary you will find you and l are well matched.

I went down to South Wales and on going to the bus station in a little town I came across someone I knew and now lived in South Wales.

Curium is a beautiful place, I haven't been since about 1985 but in those days the cafe there was run by an ex-squaddie from Manchester, the whole place was decked out in United memorabilia.
We have also bumped into acquaintances in strange places, queuing in a bank in Kowloon, dozing in the transit lounge at Bahrain airport, and once when visiting a minor tourist attraction in the Sierra Nevada in California, we met an old man who had been a patient of my grandfather in Canterbury before the war. It makes you wonder how often we have a 'near miss'.
