Having lived and worked in Brussels it is not a case of the North African migrants "being stuck" anywhere.
Belgium is one of the most welcoming and accommodating countries I have had the pleasure to live and work in. The social compact that Belgium (& The Netherlands) operates is simple and works. There has been a large Turkish Muslim community in Belgium for well over 40 years that has worked hard to advance itself and rubs along very well with Christian and secular Belgians, as has the Congolese & Senegalese communities. The North African/Arab migrants have too often chosen to hold themselves apart from the rest of Belgium and has not been prepared to operate a basic level of tolerance of difference. They have if anything self radicalised and alienated themselves from Belgium and its way of life.
There is no excuse for criminal activity (which is what this mornings actions were), no matter what the perceived historic or current provocation by the western allies.
Having said that we really do need to stop interfering in others affairs unless specifically invited by those nations or requested by the UN to form part of a Blue Beret peace keeping force.
