Just been watching PMQs where mad Roger Gale MP has claimed Thanet Earth are throwing away hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of tomatoes as nobody will pick them!
Seems odd to me, having watched pole vaulting wheelchair users at the recent Paralympics, that the wastrels of Thanet, an area of notoriously high unemployment, are unable to pick tomatoes as they have 'a bit of a bad back'.

There seems to be such a shortage of workers to do so many different 'unskilled' job, we have become far to generous to those who simply play the system while penalising the honest who are in real need and struggle to get help.
The majority of those who are genuine sick or disabled would love the chance to work again and be independent. I know I did and never received disability benefit until the body really gave up when I was well past retiring age.

I'm in Chester. Every second shop with an A4 sign advertising for staff.
Meanwhile, the dope smoking school kids having moved on, the canal side benches, like yesterday afternoon, are full of afternoon drinkers with Scouse and Jockanese accents!
