  What great news! A local girl, Stacie Pettman, has won 'Student of the Year' It just proves that with extra training expanding one's education can make such a huge difference to one's career prospects. See the full story and pictures currently gracing our front page.

  Yes a very well done indeed to Stacie. A nice chegue there for £1000 which doesnt hurt at all with Christmas approaching. But most of all though her further education has helped her secure a very nice job and a career. Its all down to education, it gives you the foothold.

  A good education certainly is the key, but so few people when at the important stage of their lives, appreciate that.
  
  Maybe it's through (lack of) parental guidance, maybe it's peer-pressure to be a total pratt and opt out, maybe it's the school teachers not holding the interest of pupils, whatever it is, young people need to learn the serious importance of education as it will allow them to live their lives and live their dreams too.

  Congratulations Stacie! Also Well Done to Paula, you must be over the moon that one of your students has won this prestigious award from Pitman Training, it's always good to see that a local company has hit the news headlines nationally.

  Thank you for all your comments. Stacie worked incredibley hard to move to a career which interested her and her dedication to learning paid off in more ways than one.
  
  It is brilliant that a local success story and support from local businesses can gain national accreditation.
