Nerve centre of a new campaign to raise money for the Pilgrims' Hospice is the Bliss Tanning and Beauty Salon at the top end of Dover's High Street. Masterminding a series of boot fairs, raffles and a sponsored bungy jump is health care assistant Lee Goddard. During the launch this afternoon he subjected himself to having his legs waxed by none other than the Mayor of Dover, Cllr Ronnie Philpott.
Lee's mother died in the Hospice and this is his way of saying thank you.
