I have just read in the Speccy on-line that Chris Huhne has made a complete fool of himself....
First of all he says that """the coalition not be wagged by the Eurospecptic tail""" - he seems not to realise that there are far, far more Eurosceptic Tories than there are LibDem MPs!!! If the Eurosceptics are the tail wagging the dog then what are the LibDems, answers on a postcard please but keep it clean, the obvious answer to me is a rather dirty one that I dare not mention on a family website!!

i was reading an article by peter oborn who said that the yellows missed a trick with there grovelling subservience to the e.u. meaning that they are now seen as an establishment party rather than a radical force, something that irks many of their m.p.'s.

There's something of the twilight zone about the man. His parliamentary brief is somewhat, erm shall we say, bizarre. How on Earth he managed to become minister of state for energy, gravity and stopping tidal movement is beyond me. Perhaps it's down to his, er, persuasive personality.
His remarks on the issue of the euro and Europe is beyond me and most other Earth dwellers.
What goes on in his mind?

I have always said Howard that Brown did just one thing right, not join the Euro. His motivation was suspect but at least for once he did something good by not doing something!
The problem is much greater than the economic cycle Howard. It is far more structural and even cultural than that. Home ownership, a different business culture etc etc...
