In the general scheme of things:So what?

Bringing Political personalities in to this discussion is no different than arguing over the 'pies' on sale at the football ground. The first is as likely to improve matters as the second is going to improve match results.

It is a fundamental error to accept that the only viable paths into the future are those posited by the Political Establishment.
    Red-Ed's way, or Dozy-Dave's way.

    "The customer is always right!"

In all things, we British are our own worst enemies. No matter whether it is poor restaurant service or pathetic politics. We take what we are given, and 'enjoy' some strange notion that as we can take our custom elsewhere those that serve us ill shall suffer.
A moments reflection will show that assumption to be a false one, in all instances.

    "The customer is always right!"

That statement works well when it is adopted as a maxim by both the consumer and the supplier.

Rather than go off on one (this one time). Let us (the customer/consumer) begin by challenging the Reds, as they are out on the pavement, as outlined by Philip above.

Has anybody put it to them that bills are likely to rocket before or/and after the price freeze?

[I have said something about the profit margins of 'Utility' Companies, and do not with to rehash them here, and so confuse matters.]
