Please, does anyone know if the above surgery is open tomorrow ?. I have looked on their web site and phoned NHS Direct but they don't know. With Christmas Day falling on Sunday I thought that maybe tomorrow, Tuesday, could be a holiday.

alec
surgeries and dentists are all closed tomorrow as far as i am aware.
the n.hs. east kent website has been next to useless for about 3 years, n.h.s direct are marginally worse considring that they must have expected a rash of calls asking the same question as you had.

You could try ringing the out of hours number and the call centre you are put through to will know if they are covering tomorrow as well as today , my best guess is that they will be closed as the 27th is classed as a bank holiday

Thanks for your swift replies Howard and Sarah, I guessed as much.
Sarah, I did ring the out of hours number and they were very helpful but didn't know if the surgery was open tomorrow. The problem is that my wife has had a pain in her groin for about ten days now and even though she has rested it is getting more painful. She does not want to make a fuss and refused a visit from the out of hours service. She thought she would be able to wait until the surgery opened so it looks like Wednesday now. Many thanks for your advice.

If she can get there the out of hours at the Royal Victoria Folkestone is very good

Not wise to leave any severe pain too long Alec. Hope she's feeling better.

My son-in-law's father was taken to hospital last night by ambulance but allowed home after tests with instructions to see his doctor ASAP, he had been feeling 'off' for a few days.
I could not help but wonder why it is that so many minor ailments worsen at Christmas, be it a runny nose or something a lot more serious.
