  Shiela Amos has just informed me of the sad death of rev peter day.
  
  many will know peter from st martins church where he used to help rev garrett with the services.
  but peter also took services in other villages such as whitfield,guston and more.
  
  
  i was only speaking to him before christmas and he was telling me how busy he was and all the church's he was visiting.
  
  he was a dedicated christian, but always had time for you whether you were a believer or not.
  
  
  another side of peter was that he was chair of the clarendon and westbury community association for many years taking over from rev garrett.
  he guided the community for those years, and active in the many events up until shiela took over.
  peter remained on the committee and a good advisor.
  
  of course the clarendon and westbury comm assoc had close links with st martins church where in past years the annual xmas carols were held at the hall.
  
  peter was a hard working christian who saw little wrong in others, but a very very friendly and dedicated person to st martins and beyond.
  
  He will be a big loss to st martins and church's locally, and the community.
