Fantastic video. The soundtrack of "There'll be bluebirds over the White Cliffs of Dover" always sends a shiver down my spine when I think that Vera Lynn was singing that when the country was in the gravest of peril with nobody having any idea whether it would survive or be overwhelmed by the Nazi menace, and only the twenty miles of water between us and France to save our bacon.

Amazing to think that she lived through all that and is still with us. Securing her support is an extraordinary coup for Charlie. How can his bid now fail when he has a national treasure on his side? One only has to look at what the magnificent Joanna Lumley accomplished for the Ghurkas.
