    Notwithstanding Charlie and Vera being there the most interesting was Philip Blond, director of the think tank ResPublica. (Well worth a Google, both him and the think tank))

    I had a chance to talk to him at some length and the whole project has been well thought through.

    There is no need for any 'big city names', the port makes quite enough profit to service borrowed money for the buy out.

    Intellectually this is all part of Cameron's concept of a 'big society' which the boy Dave has been so bad at putting over.

    I suspect that by the end of the week there will be some more flesh on the bones and hopefully others will realise that we are looking at a win/win situation.
