Peter, I haven't even seen the letter, so how can I suggest anything in regards to it?
My comment was only in reference to Ross's comment.
As for post 17: isn't the Department for Transport supposed to make a decision? Or have the representations all been excluded according to the People's Port Trus?

All this outcry doesn't detract value from my previous comment, about buying an empty packet of wheetabix. Here on the Forum, only several weeks ago, the DHB proposal was presented, with reference to a spectrum of authorities, including the official owners of the Port of Dover, namely DHB, and the bishop of Dover.

So how can the P/p Trust sell shares to the public for a port they do not own or run?
It would be correct to await a decision from the Department for Transport in order to see whether the P/p trust actually has any authority at all.

Until then, it's just an empty packet of cornflakes costing £10!
