The People of Dover Award, organised by DTC and the KM, have had its nominations shortlisted into a number of highly spirited people that we can vote for.
Whilst I would not like to persuade or influence any of your decisions, I know this award in the business category would mean a great deal to the Farrier family if they won the award, in particular Derek Farrier. Also, some of you may not even know of Dennis Banks, who is shortlisted in the community section. Dennis drives the mobile library in Dover areas for Kent County Council, Dennis provides a vital lifeline to us out in the 'sticks' with books and other loanables, and its a very much valued service, we hope if Dennis wins this award it will prove how much we rely on our libraries.
