Can't find anything online other than the Street Pastors won something, believe the ceremony was on the 3rd.

I think Western Heights in some form or another also won something but not sure, seems to be a big secret for some reason.

Nothing on the Town Council website not surprising as they do not have the minutes of meetings held 6 weeks ago but I would have thought someone there would have given a list of winners to the local press.

There are some well deserved winners from the list and congratulations to them. Dover District Council won an award for erm.....doing what they are supposed to do and why we vote for them. Odd.

Town council Paul, incidentally that looks like the list of nominees not the winners.

As usual lack of understanding. It was DOVER TOWN COUNCil,not Dover District council.DTC are the ones who have offices in Maison Dieu House and Councillors wear robes.DDC are located at Whitfield.
I have spent years trying to educate people on the difference.DDC have more responsibility and hold larger budgets.

Sorry I meant DTC, a slip of the fingers! I stand by what I say though, nominated for doing what we expect from them. Hardly worth a nomination compared to the other volunteers listed.

Without wishing to defend the highly secretive DTC their only statutory responsibility is to maintain allotments. All other spending is discretionary hence the nomination, mind you I would love to know who nominated them.

The way the nomination is worded sounds very similar to the wording of Pam Brivio's letter in the express last week and boy doesn't she just love the DTC!

Good spot Reginald. They've done a splendid job spending our money on painting the odd bench and changing a lightbulb or two and deserve an award! Egotistical, self serving waste of space in my view.

DTC and the River Dour Volunteers were the two nominees in the beautiful Dover award, and the river volunteers won the award.
But it should be mentioned that DTC give considerable support to the river volunteers as a whole, both in terms of grants and other support, so it's a joint effort.

Good to know they are doing something behind the scenes for the betterment of the town.
