Plenty of people and groups deserving of recognition locally Andrew but not much mention on social media.

This year the Dover Forum is the only place I have seen anything about the awards.

Up till now I think the rewards have gone out to members of the public that have done a lot for Dover over the years and the Dover Town Council done the right thing in bring in the rewards.But there are also members of the public that live in the district that should also get a reward over the time and work they have put in,some of them are long time parish cllrs and district cllrs and even officers of both the town and district councils,but some are just members of the public, there are some that go out each week picking up rubbish they talk to no one but they are out in all weather doing it for nothing.

In my opinion, totally wrong to honour people for just doing the job they were elected or employed to do, no matter how long they have done it.
