Damage caused by the funfair operators?

Don't think so Peter normally there are yellow bits and small bald patches that correct themselves fairly quickly.

Too far gone in my view looks as bare as the bits by the Stagecoach office that people trample through.
Looked nicer by the river.

If it's only water damage it will be laying dormant underground until the ground temp rises above about 6° and 3 or 4 wks after it will be as good as new. The lower paddock in connaught is more soil than grass this time of year but always comes back in spring. The groundsman should level the dips with top soil once it starts growing in spring if they know what they're doing.

Years back the parks n gardens were run by groundsmen that knew what they were doing, nowdays i,m not so sure.

Too many events allowed the grass never has time to recover.I think they will need to keep an eye on Kearsney Abbey The gardens could go the same way.

The grass usually corrects itself after events, I don't think the contractors used are actual groundsmen, more a labour force.

It will take another bashing tomorrow when the fair arrives with the surface soggy from today's rain.
