Not the shop but society as it is now. We know about the gaffes from some politicians but do they do any damage?
Fair enough if anyone tries to incite hatred then prosecution must follow but recently we have had Dave Whelan fined and suspended from football for remarks that are outdated but not designed to hurt anyone. Kate Hopkins made one of her outbursts and the police were asked to investigate whether any law was broken.

You wouldn't get the pc police investigating, if somebody was calling some one a Sweaty sock ,or chave or 6 finger inbreed.
But they would if somebody called ,some one a sooty or wog or jungle bunny or gipo
Funny old thing the way the pc brigade functions .

Thought the Hopkins remarks were aimed at the Scots?

The second most offensive thing about the PC brigade is that they take offence on behalf of others. But the most offensive thing is that they seem able to shut down debate by calling someone 'racist', 'sexist' or 'homophobic'. Now I shall watch an episode of Love thy Neighbour to make me feel sane again.

I watched the dam Busters the other day with my grandsons , they are 8 and 9, the look of horror on their faces when the dog was called Nigger was a picture. Us older people watching for the first time at the same age would not have thought anything else than that is the dogs name

Dave Whelan got into trouble for using words that were commonly used in his youth, going for a chinkie is a prime example.
Some even use it today.

In the still to be made remake of the Dam Busters, by Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings fame, the dog is called Digger!
