"The policeman shot and blinded by Raoul Moat was found dead last night in a suspected suicide.
The body of Pc David Rathband was discovered by police inside his home in Blyth, Northumberland, at around 7pm.
The father-of-two had survived being shot at close range by Moat during his rampage in the West Denton area of Newcastle in July 2010. He had been left with more than 200 shotgun pellets lodged in his skull."

Very sad - and some people thought Moat was a hero.

Sad indeed.
The 'spur of the moment act' can have terrible consequences. You have to feel for his children.

Such sad news i remember the day the beast moat was found as me and mark were on our holiday watching the news until the bully took his own life and still today his actions are felt by this poor mans children at least Pc Rathband will have a place in heaven where he can urinate on the monster below him in hell.

Have made that link LIVE for you Roger above.
Yes a very sad story. I saw an interview with him on TV a few months back and he was clearly having serious trouble handling the affliction trust upon him. As he said recently..he had lost his sight, his job, his marriage, and his family and he couldnt adjust. Now he appears to have committed suicide. A terrible downward spiral.

saw that interview he gave earlier, the signs were there that he was at the end of his tether.
it is one thing to be born blind but to lose it in your forties must be unbearable.
regrettably moat escaped justice.
As was always his intention. For those of us without that destructive and psychopathic way of thinking it seems beyond belief that a man could do such a thing. But they can.

This evil act by a man full of hatred, destroyed this descent man, his marriage and now his life. May he rest in peace.
Absolutely. We can only imagine what he has endured, and his family too. My thoughts are with them all.
